The Importance of Community

As I age, I realize how important Community is.  I have been searching for "it" my entire life.  What I have learned recently is that it comes in many different forms like book clubs, game groups, friends, family etc.  I even find that I "group" products together that I think work well with  with each other

The Flower Kit Flat LayThe Bliss Kit and the Flower Kit are the two most popular in the shoop.  They go together!!!

Meanwhile, community of other sorts - the people in my life.  I have siblings very close in age to me, thus we have always been a tribe.  I always seem to have a tribe of women friends wherever I live.  I am so lucky in this way.  More recently I visited The Farm, the oldest intentional community in the USA, and connected with the tribe I have so often longed for in my life.

This place hosts a bunch of folks who care about the land, the future generations, they love music and fun and they are environmentally focused.  I have not found that focus in hardly any place I have lived.

I was "taught" at MomsHead in Santa Rosa California.  A small little spot on the map that was an ecosystem of environmentallism.  I love love loved it.  I have created my own little MomsHead here at Medicine Woods and yearn to have others join me in this venture.  Here.  On this land.  I surely never thought I would be doing this by myself these 20 plus years.  Alas..........

Meanwhile I took a drive 5 or so hours west and south and came upon this magical The Farm.  A festival was taking place, Sanctuary Summit.  So many gentle souls from 5 months to 85.  Good food.  Incredible fire ceremony, music and energy that was nourishing and inspiring.

I hope to create more community like this in my life in the future.  I will be travelling about, exploring all the many ways I can connect with peoples, plants, and all other beings.

Meanwhile, enjoy this beautiful Spring.  I am about to harvest red clover blossoms for Mega Mineral Blend........more to follow.
