Why do I do what I do?

To be clear, I do a number of things. 1.  I protect a natural native plant sanctuary where important endangered medicinal herbs are abundant.  2.  I teach other folks how to use herbs, in every facet of their lives, from skincare to housecare.  3.  I offer a line of clean, small batch  botanicals for skincare.  This stuff is full of all the ingredients you pay a fortune for in drugstores and at high end cosmetic counters.  Another passion - Good skincare does not need to cost a fortune!!!  Why pay attention to the skin? That's another blogpst.

Why I do what I do is rooted in a deep care for our planet. That has encompassed all of my life.  These many years and how I live my life.  What products I use.  How I eat.  What I support.  And most importantly how I operate my business.

It effects what ingredients I use.  What packaging I choose.  How I ship.  Where I source.  How I deal with waste.  How I clean and on and on.  I am not a fan of supporting stupid environmental blunders, or skin testing on bunnies and beagles.  I actually do think of all these things in my operations.

And Plants!!!  My goodness plants are the easiest, thing to use when one needs a quick room spray (essential oils), a relaxing tea (maybe you have some lemon balm in the garden), a massage oil (perhaps infused with comfrey).  So many things can be done with medicinal plants, or herbs.  From cooking to cleaning - I am fascinated with the ever astonishing amount things I can do with a part of a plant.  Often one that grows so easily.

So whether you have a small garden, a patio garden, a few pots of plants on the windowsill or a natural food store, it is generally not to hard to find a "medicinal herb"  you can use for your good health.
